On every year, in Costa Rica take place a few pilgrims, from which the most important are: the pilgrim to La Negrita in Cathedral Metropolitana in Cartago (August 2nd, a day of revelation for mulatto girl Juana Pereira) and on March 16th, a pilgrim from Paraiso to Ujarras (Cartago province) that celebrates the saving of town by Virgin against the attack of pirates in 1666.
